The National: “Bike Lane Battle”

The title is needlessly provocative, since this in-depth piece on cycling in Vancouver by CBC’s ‘The National’ covers the story more positively. Features the Bruntlett family and UBC prof Kay Teschke, arguing for much faster progress: 20 percent cycling in just a few years – if there was the commitment.

(BTWm the Bruntletts will be screening their latest videos done for Arlington, Virginia, – next Tuesday, September 15 at Sidesaddle Bikes on Victoria Drive. Here’s the Facebook invitation.)

Daily Scot also recommends this feature in VanCity Buzz by Chris and Melissa: 8 lessons for Vancouver from Montréal’s bike culture.
