Visual Lecture: Historic Vancouver panoramas at the Space Centre – Dec 4

Michael Kluckner will be narrating a presentation of old (75- 100 years) panoramic photos by WJ Moore of Vancouver scenes, matched to contemporary ones and projected onto the dome of the theatre, concentrating on images of False Creek, Granville Island and suburban (mainly Kerrisdale) neighbourhoods.

The photographs are from the Vancouver archives collection. It’s a stunning use of their new digital projectors and an unequalled way to compare the old city with the current one.
