Point Grey Road: "Mind the Gap"

A clever, and I think persuasive, video on the hazards of cycling on Point Grey Road – the gap in the seawall system.

  1. That’s very illustrative of the danger of this stretch, and I’m pleased that council is moving ahead. The next Gap to address is between the N end of Carrall St and the Convention Centre through Gastown. Connecting this gap would nicely finish the False Creek-Downtown-Stanley Park loop with all the tourist friendly neighbourhoods accessible.

    1. There is a deke here that works which is just to go under Canada Place and the Convention Centre once you go over the Main Street overpass. This connects well to the seawall west of the Convention Centre. Less of a grade change as well. One day it would be nice to see this whole area decked over and built up with some taller buildings and lower buildings around Crab Park. Once (if) the Seabus is replaced by an extension of the Canada or Expo Lines, there will be more freedom to develop this area.
