Date: July 21, 2022
Time: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time
You can register to attend in person by contacting David at David.Sadoway@kpu.ca.
David writes:
“Last week we had a great talk by Pamela Zevit RPBio (Registered Professional Biologist) from the City of Surrey. She told students about the Surrey Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and their innovative approach to linking development cost charges (DCCs) to supporting their “Green Infrastructure Network (GIN)”. Interesting Pam noted that the City of Surrey apparently has the most RPBios on staff of any municipality in British Columbia. Let us hope that translates into greener urbanism and infrastructure, in this fast-growing urban region.
This week, on Thursday July 21st we have one more KPU Geography and the Environment in person “Eco-Talk” next week (Thursday at 7pm). We are happy to be joined by Deb Jones from Cougar Creek Streamkeepers (an urban stream protection association of community volunteers, in North Delta & Surrey). Deb will be dropping by our KPU 72nd Ave campus starting at 7pm.
