Does anything say ‘Canadian culture’ better than Tim Horton’s cups that look like wool socks?
A while back on Twitter I asked:
Serious question: what attributes define a “Canadian”? You’re not allowed to mention:
Tim Hortons
Peacekeeping
Hockey
Multiculturalism/Immigration
“We’re not American.”
Poutine
I’m honestly stumped. Do we have any actual national character?
There were exactly TWO responses:
“Our national character is defined by the fact that we don’t have a national character.”
“maple syrup?”
And here again a usually verbose and opinionated group ignores the question entirely.
I don’t know, is 150 years too short a time to define who we are?
passive-aggressive politeness? 🙂
Total cash-grab by Canada Post and the Royal Canadian Mint
