Panel: Heritage and Real Estate – Apr 26

Heritage and Real Estate: Vancouver’s Challenging Heritage Environment
Vancouver Heritage Foundation invites you to attend an open discussion on a subject everyone has an opinion about – the impacts of land speculation and development, the foreign-buyer tax and other issues affecting Vancouver’s real estate. When current property assessments are 95 percent land value and only 5 percent building value, preserving older homes is proving to become more and more challenging.
This discussion will be between Researcher and SFU City Program Director, Andy Yan, who researches the economics of property values and sales in Vancouver, and Gordon Price, Fellow with the SFU Centre for Dialogue, former City Councillor and SFU City Program Director.
