On Alberni, just west of Burrard, stood this piece. The small plaza is currently under construction, to what end I have no idea, but the piece is lying on the ground near the construction fence.

In answer to your question about what is happening in the plaza is that the plaza is being replaced by a 2 story building that will house a chic jewelry store from Paris. In keeping Alberni streets reputation as a place for high end shops to part the rich from their money.
I’d love to see that bronze sculpture replace the Main Street poodle.
