When running through the park at the northern foot of Howe Street, I saw faces I thought I recognized: a couple on a bench, who in turn recognized me.

It was one of those moments when downtown seems like a village, and here were some villagers enjoying the sun – Alan Duncan and Moura Quayle. Both had just come from a meeting of the B.C Landscape Architects.
There, Alan had received recognition for Exceptional Contribution. I like that; it seems to fit his career and his life.

Congrats,Alan!
Congrats Alan and Moura! One of my best teachers in the 80s.
Awesome Alan!! Thanks for being a great teacher and great to reconnect recently. Cheers, Scot Bathgate.
Mr. Pricetags running through the park. Now there’s another piece of news we’re happy to hear.
That’s propinquity for you:
“To some urban intensity, add 1 bench, mix in some some landscape and trees, add an equal measure of sun, and enjoy.”
Congrats Alan and Moura! Well deserved!
Michael.
