Heritage Energy Retrofit Grant pilot program

Beginning in September of 2015, VHF will offer a pilot grant program to assist with energy retrofits for older Vancouver homes. Homes built before 1940 and those listed on the Vancouver Heritage Register are eligible to apply.
In partnership with the City of Vancouver, who will provide funding for the grants, and with assistance from City Green Solutions in developing the program, the Heritage Energy Retrofit Grant will offer up to $3,000 per house for retrofits that deliver measurable reductions in greenhouse gases. Retrofits in the program aim to improve comfort, and reduce energy use and running costs in ways compatible with the conservation of heritage fabric and character elements.
