Is this the coolest light rail line in North America?

And it’s in Houston!

.

It’s existed since 2004, but Downtown Houston’s light rail stop-public plaza combo on Main Street Station is pretty freaking cool. Dozens of water fountains and jets greet the public when the street becomes car-free at the stop. It’s particularly beautiful at night.

  1. Like the play on words – “coolest” LRT line! Downtown Houston is one of the hottest, muggiest NA cities !’ve ever been in, so any cooling there would be very welcome.
