A half century of change in Vancouver

From 1961 to 2015 – from Changing Vancouver:

Here’s another image showing how little some parts of the city have changed in over 50 years. Our ‘before’ picture was taken in 1961; the ‘after’ on New Years Day 2015. While the buildings haven’t necessarily changed much, the use they’re put to isn’t necessarily the same.

Rarely does a week go by without an article or comment bemoaning the loss of Vancouver’s past, the sell-out to developers and the insensitive response to its heritage.  And yet sometimes you have to look hard to see what hasn’t changed.
