Vancouver Vaudeville – The Great White Way
Did you know that the original “Great White Way” is actually Hastings Street? Hastings Street was once Vancouver’s centre for vaudeville theatre, a performance style made popular in the 1880s which offered many different types of performance in a single show. The Pantages Theatre was the largest and most glamorous of Hastings’ Theatre Row, which also included The Rex and The Columbia.
