I’ve often praised Brisbane as an Australian city that knows how to use colour in its architecture. (I did a Price Tags on it here.) But that’s what you might expect from a sub-tropical city.
It’s true in Melbourne too, to a lesser extent. Here’s an example of a building just under construction – taken from a tram, of course, with a bit of reflection from the window:
