Public Art on The Wall, with coffee – Mar 27

Even before the launch of the Scuplture Biennale this spring, it’s been a good year for public art (see below). And here’s another.

From the Vancouver Heritage Foundation:

Public Art Project: The WALL at CBC Plaza

A new artist’s work has been installed on The Wall at the CBC Plaza. With participating arts organization, Centre A, Vancouver artist Laiwan has taken the theme of Vancouver’s built environment in a different direction than previous installations with a focus on lost waterways. She has also created an interactive web component to go with the installation, a first for Wall artists.

Join us as we officially launch this new art work with a lunch time celebration. The event will include entertainment, words from the artist as well as VHF, and JJ Bean at the CBC Plaza is offering free drip coffee to the first 50 attendees. Just visit our table to pick up your voucher!

Thursday, March 27

12 noon – 1pm
CBC Outdoor Stage at 700 Hamilton St
All are welcome to attend this free event
