We will be presenting on Maple Ridge’s innovative Town Centre Investment Incentive program as it relates to brownfield redevelopment and the significant results to-date. We will also present on the Province’s role in municipal brownfield redevelopment, identifying available resources to local governments looking to redevelop, potential steps for the municipalities to move forward addressing a brownfield site, etc.
Both speakers will address the champion role of local governments regarding brownfield redevelopment specific to the potential advantages of local governments proactively identifying lands in their Official Community Plans (OCPs) that could represent brownfield redevelopment opportunities.
