From the Vancouver Heritage Foundation:

.

Next week is Heritage Week and Vancouver Heritage Foundation is offering a week of walking tours and events to celebrate Vancouver’s history.

Kicking off with National Heritage Day on February 17th, VHF invites you to have fun with heritage and explore ‘Places Made for Play’ in Riley Park including a guided tour of Nat Bailey Stadium!

Heritage Week continues until February 23rd where we look at Vancouver’s marine history in support of ‘Heritage Afloat!’, Heritage BC’s theme for 2014. With a line-up of water themed walks, a Places That Matter plaque presentation that explores Vancouver’s shipbuilding history, and a fantastic event that pairs local coffee with the industrial legacy of Southeast False Creek, it’s a full week to learn all about Vancouver’s connection to the waterways and harbours.
