Nice complmentary piece on Vancouver by the New York Times, but woops on the geography. As can be seen from the Key map in the corner of the graphic, Vancouver is in the SOUTHWEST corner of Canada, not the NORTHWEST corner. I know that this is confusing to Americans, but come on… Do we want them stopping over in Vancouver, or Tuktoyaktuk?
He’s obviously referring to the Canadian portion of the Pacific northwest. “Southwest Canada” is pedantic and trite.
