From the Vancouver Heritage Foundation:
Brand new for 2013: guided bike tours!
Our walking tour guides, Maurice Guibord and John Atkin, are saddling up and hitting the pavement to bring four guided bike tours in Vancouver. It all kicks off May 25th 1pm – 3pm with the Places That Matter bike tour with John Atkin. The tour starts at Canada Place and will travel through Vancouver’s bike lanes, across the Burrard Bridge, up into Fairview Heights, and curving back to Robson Square. We’ll stop halfway to join the Nellie Yip Quong House plaque presentation live!
For those who want to skip the city streets, and head for the trails, we have a less intense ride through Stanley Park which looks at the tumultuous history of Vancouver’s world renowned urban park. Maurice Guibord sets out from Denman and Georgia June 15, July 20, and August 17 at 9:30am. (
We have also partnered up with Spokes Bicycle Rentals who are offering a discount on bike rentals for anyone attending one of our tours.)
