Photographing Heritage Structures – Old School Workshops
Do you have a really great camera but are sometimes disappointed in your final product? Do you go on trips and aren’t sure of the best way to capture the look of a city? This Saturday, Rick Hulbert, Architect and Photographer, will take you through an all day course that will fine tune your architectural photography skills. We’ll start by finding the best angles and lighting using the Marine Building lobby as a muse, then return to our office for demonstrations on digital editing.

The Jeff’s Residence – Brown Bag Talks
The Jeff’s Residence project at the corner of Salsbury Drive and Charles St, has converted long time rental units into high density residential. James Evans, the developer behind the project, will join us at the BCIT Downtown Campus for an illustrated talk with Q&A, to talk about the restoration and adaptive reuse of this historic building.

West End – Architects and their Neighbourhoods
John Atkin takes you through the West End when it was home to many prominent Vancouverites and many successful architects including W.T. Whiteway, the designer of the Sun Tower and J.S. Helyer, the architect of the Dominion Building. The partnership of Dalton and Eveleigh and Mr. Fee of Parr and Fee also made the area their home.
