  1. Vancouver also exemplifies regional scale propinquity too: the juxtaposition of intensive agricultural land right at the City’s doorstep in Richmond, and the forest primeval on the north shore. To stand at the top of Hollyburn and look over the metro area to the south, and then turn around and look north for an unbroken view of peaks and glaciers, has to be unique in the world.
