Jobs Jar: Manager of Research, Policy and Planning at Vancouver Economic Commission

The Manager of Research Policy, and Planning (RPP) plays a key role in the development and execution of the Vancouver Economic Commission’s (VEC) strategies around research and policies on urban economic and land-use planning.

The VEC is the City of Vancouver’s agency on economic development. The not-for-profit organization has its own board of directors and carries out both strategic and tactical programs that promote prosperity in the local economy, working with the business community and other government stakeholders. The VEC’s role is local, but its approach and focus is global. The VEC also acts as an advisor to the City on urban development, providing input and support on city planning from a perspective that promotes performance in the local economy, and that is aligned with the City’s overall growth management objectives.
