Drawing a Crowd: Time-lapse at English Bay

Yuri Artibise picked this up from Dave Delnea’s blog –  ‘a time-lapse and photo project we did for a client last year to illustrate the way the crowd gathers and disperses during the (fireworks) event.’

.

.

What strikes me is that most (what – 70 or 80 percent?) of the people who fill English Bay beach got there on foot, bike or transit over half a day. And then all left at the same time.

I’m amazed it all works.

  1. Hi Gordon:

It’s been a busy summer, but one little thing happened last Friday, July 29. The Metro Vancouver Board adopted a new Regional Growth Strategy. Unfortunately, there has been little to no press on this small event. Can you pass along the word?

    Thanks!
