About two decades ago SFU took its first venture off Burnaby Mountain. Started with a building on Howe Street. Refurbished an old department store and became Harbour Centre. Added the Wosk Centre. The Segal School of Business. Now Woodwards.
But before that, Continuing Studies had been alive for the previous two decades. The fit was perfect – Continuing Studies at Harbour Centre.
Come join us at Continuing Studies, Lifelong Learning, on Saturday and see what we do. Lots of free events.
All Open House events are held at SFU Vancouver, 515 W Hastings
Saturday, February 5, 10 am – 4 pm
I’m giving a free lecture – on ‘Sustainability and Vancouver’ with a lot on urban design and transportation – at 11 am. And then a walking tour at 2 pm. Details and reservations here.
Say hello. And Happy Anniversary.

Your SFU HC sustainability lecture this past weekend was impressive both in scope and content. I was especially interested in the connection you drew between Gateway’s potential impact on urban development and the role that the highway that-never-was has had in promoting Vancouver current dense and walkable form.
