Vancouver’s Green Gold

ULI’s Urban Land magazine has just published a piece on Vancouver’s Olympic transportation experience.

Martin Zimmerman’s piece provides a remarkable context for the story, going back to the freeway fight of the 1960s and documenting the strategies this city has pursued over the following decades to arrive at its Olympic moment.

Now that I’ve enticed you, I regret that I have no link for an online version.  Consequently, if you want to know more, consider coming to the PlanTalk event at SFU Vancouver on April 28, when we’ll have planners and politicians from three cites – Vancouver, Richmond and Whistler  – to tell you how it was done.
