Fun with Infrastructure

High up on the list of ‘most boring words in the English language,’ infrastructure has nonetheless found recent popularity.  So says the Urban Land Institute: “Suddenly, it seemed everyone — from political leaders to columnists to casual observers — was talking about the role infrastructure can play in economic recovery, and in setting the stage for a more prosperous future. ”

On May 19th, the British Columbia District Council of the Urban Land Institute invites you to join us for a stimulating luncheon to hear about and discuss the challenges that face our urban infrastructure.

The New Infrastructure Deal:
Big Projects, Big Dollars, Big Opportunities

Coinciding with the publication of ULI and Ernst & Young’s annual Infrastructure report, a distinguished panel of experts will discuss how worldwide trends and techniques will have important implications for decisions made and projects undertaken throughout the province.

Hey, I made the “distinguished panel,” along with Tom Prendergast of TransLink and, as keynote speaker, James J. Curtis, Managing Partner, Bristol Group, Inc., San Francisco.

Even if you’re not a member of ULI, you can come:

Registration Deadline: Thursday, May 14
Register by phone at 1-800-321-5011, or online at britishcolumbia.uli.org.

For more information, please contact ULI British Columbia at britishcolumbia@uli.org, or (206) 224-4500.
