So much of Paris looks the same – beautiful, majestic, harmonious but mostly of Lutetian limestone (known as Paris stone). It’s a monochromatic city.
So how to stand out without being crass? Here’s how some cafes are doing it.
My favourite example is, well, La Favorite in La Marais. In 2019 it looked like this:
Now it looks like this:
Artificial, of course, but now a landmark in the Saint-Paul village. Nor the only one. Flower facades look like a trend:
