Gil Penalosa is Founder and Chair of 8 80 Cities, a successful Canadian-based international non-profit organization, grounded on a simple but powerful concept which still guides much of his work: What if everything we did in our cities had to be great for an 8-year-old and an 80-year-old?

One third of our lives is as an older adult.
Older adults are low park users in many countries; why? Is it lack of infrastructure? Lack of programs? As an example, in the US, the population over 60 years old are approximately 20% of total, but just 4% or park users. Why? How to increase park use by all older adults?
This and other critical issues will be considered, such as, how to use parks to have healthier and happier lives as older adults, our last third?
