Connecting Resources to Community-Based PlanningJoin the Smart Growth Network as planners and community leaders from Indianapolis share the success story of the Smart Growth Redevelopment District, an area of the city that faced high concentrations of poverty, abandoned homes and brownfields. Using an inclusive planning process, the neighborhoods of King Park and Martindale/Brightwood developed an action plan and worked more than a decade to implement it, generating $50 million of investment and development. The presentation will highlight the role of community development corporations in this process. Date:Wednesday, September 29Time: 11:00 a.m. Pacific TimeTo register please click here.
