A great chance to improve this very popular protected lane.
I would promote extending the protected lanes up to Thurlow along Beach to connect to the Burrard Bridge bike lanes; using a fixed barrier from vehicles that doesn’t require resetting every night as drivers knock the cones over; improved crosswalk markings at intersections; merge markings at Jervis where the two bike lanes meet; and improved markings where driveways cross it.
A decision will be required as to whether it is one way with some parking, or two way for vehicles with no parking. Those who live on that stretch and those who use the eastbound bus can vote for their preference. It seems to me that transit (eastbound) should have priority over car storage though.
