I can’t figure out what’s going on here. Is he taking a picture? Or paying for something that she’s selling? And why are there at least two photographers (the one who shot this photo and the one who’s in the photo) taking pictures of this?

A busker is playing a Asian instrument – and he’s good – in front of the Canada Line Station at Georgia and Granville. People are walking by, taking photographs too, in what almost seems to be a choreographed sequence. A woman comes by, drops down to put a coin in his hat, and continues on.
That’s it.
Ah, the busker is the gentleman facing away from us, I get it now.
