
This lovely example of west-coast style was likely done in the early 1970s, in the 700-block Denman at Alberni, and once home to old reliables like Cafe de Paris and Ciao Bella (oh, the memories). It will be kindling in a week or so.

I recall renowned architect Bruno Freschi calling for a “city of rooms”, or, as I understand it, buildings that reveal there functions externally. The proposed tower seems to approach that concept.
There’s lot of glass, so they can definitely reveal their Empty Homes status quite easily.
