Ballot Assistance — 2018 Vancouver Civic Election

Mock-up of your completed plan

Choosing which candidates to get your vote for mayor, council, park and school boards is hard enough, given the huge field.

But how would you like a quick and easy way to review candidates, record those choices and get a paper or e-copy to take to the polling station with you?  Or to easily provide a reminder sheet for others, and listed in ballot order?

Never fear, you’ve now got a “Plan Your Vote” tool to help with the choice and the record-keeping. It’s a 4-step thing.

Excerpt from Plan Your Vote tool showing a few candidates

  • First: browse the candidates. The tool shows a photo, name and party if any.  Click on a face to get platform, bio and contact info. Make your choices.
  • Second:  check out the capital plan items.  Make your choices.
  • Third:  pick a date and place to vote.
  • Fourth:  Print or e-mail your plan.

All pretty slick and easy.

    1. The new southbound bike lane on the Cambie Bridge has not delayed MV traffic by even one second but Ken Sim and his party and Wai Young and her party want to rip them out. Spite? It can only be. They want to tear out the new 10th Avenue bike lanes and bring expansion to a halt. I’m not going to suggest who you should vote for Peter. But I will suggest who not to vote for.

I found it pretty easy to identify 15 candidates I’d be happy to have as councillors. Getting it down to ten was much more difficult.
