Vancouver Civic Election Candidates on the Left — Getting Clearer

The Green Party of Vancouver, OneCity and COPE have announced candidates for the October 20, 2018 civic election in Vancouver. Vision Vancouver‘s list will be known on July 8.

Apparently, the Vancouver District Labour Council’s negotiated candidate quotas are still being negotiated, or something. What may result is a VDLC candidate endorsement list that is shorter than this list. Or something.

  1. The fact that the Vancouver District Labour Council is so intimately involved in handpicking who runs for the Left is enough to drive any voter into the arms of the NPA. It is an out and out conflict of interest to have candidates beholden to a group they control the pay of,

      1. I challenge you to run on a platform of reaming out the public sector, Thomas. Go for it. Let’s see how far you’ll get with lowering the standard of living of society.

  2. I thought the total number for city council was supposed to be 11 including the mayor. That only leaves 2 or 3 for vision? Are they not part of this coalition?
