It’s terrible, the grass is too green, the sidewalk is too wide, the trees are too pretty. Somebody might be tempted to (gasp) ride a bicycle on that street!
I have always wondered why, when a streetscape is completely redone as this is, the opportunity is not taken to place the ugly power poles underground?? Yes it would cost more, but not nearly as costly as solely placing the lines underground. In fact BC Hydro has a budget to pay for a limited number of these projects, at no cost to the city. And I would suspect that residents of Point Grey Road might contribute…

It could have been done, by BC Hydro and not the City, if local residents had agreed. They didn’t.
