A nice example of ‘Vancouverism’ architecture – podium townhouses on the 1100-block Hornby Street in Downtown South. By Henriquez Partners Architects.

They do look nice – but what I always notice as I travel this block is the “steps to nowhere” on the right hand side, 2nd (or 3rd) floor.
I assume those are also townhouses, elevated over the common space?
The stairs to nowhere are probably an architectural spoof on “stacked” townhouses.

Less ‘vancouver’ are the floating townhouses to the right 😉
The stairs almost qualify as Thomassons … but not quite.
