The Massey Bridge boondoggle had a commuter fantasy porn shot. Here’s a manifestation of bicycle culture.
Besides infrastructure, I’d posit that more people would use this superior form of transportation if their bikes were equipped with panniers (and, of course, fenders). We carry stuff. Putting it in a backpack is tough on your back, and your ischial tuberosity, not to mention you can’t carry much that way.
