Is this the same Cadillac Fairview that started trying to enforce parking time limits on the bike racks outside their building a few years ago?
I look forward to the day we stop putting bike racks up against buildings thereby halving their capacity (London Drugs at Cambie and Broadway a classic example… or putting them out in the rain when there’s an overhanging roof steps away…. Canada Line at Cambie and Broadway a great example of that. Speaks very much to the ‘afterthought’ status given to cycling infrastructure.
When possible, racks should also be placed where there are lots of eyes, to discourage bicycle thieves.
