  1. What is not clear is the funding model for building and maintaining these local/intercity train systems in China –of which some includes high speed trains. Taiwan is probably off on its own in terms of funding.
    I want to believe a ton of taxpayers generates lots of money to fund this but there are also a lot of poor people in China.
