Buenos Aires 6 – Graffiti

Buenos Aires is saturated in graffiti – worse in some ways than New York in the ’80s, more typical of some European cities

Most are tags, some are murals, a few are political:

But it’s everywhere, regardless of class of neighbourhood, and it’s particularly sad on the fine neoclassical and art-nouveau architecture that does not take it well.

Graffiti comes and goes in waves, and as New York has demonstrated, it’s possible to get it under control.  BA hasn’t – and some don’t mind.  There are even tours you can take to explore it.
