I’d actually love to know why drive-thru ATMs are almost unknown in Canada, but ubiquitous in the States.
Sigh, my American cousins have drive-thru liquor stores, and I can’t buy beer at Save-On foods.
Because of municipal zoning bylaws.
The existence of successful drive-thrus will also prevent redevelopment of various fast food sites around the City, since non-conforming drive-thrus are unlikely to be granted for alternate locations.
There is a drive-through ATM at Kingsway x Victoria. For all intents and purposes it has the same urban vernacular as the gas station and McDonald’s on the other corner.
So the ultimate question is why is the ATM necessary?
Don’t the Whistler-Blackcomb restaurants on the hill all take debit?
Presumably, it’s so patrons can buy other illicit items in personal transactions on the hill?
