    1. That Pay Bay one is basically a dumbbell interchange with a lump on one side. Those should actually work quite well.
      The one above is a mess mostly because of the rail line in the middle. There are a lot of movements going on in that picture. It makes you wonder how many different phases there are to the traffic lights.

  1. That intersection in Melbourne is similar to the Cape Horn interchange in that it’s 2 highways/main roads that do not intersect at a 90 degree angle, but are parallel or “glancing” with significant traffic crossing through an “X” direction between the two.
    Another similar arterial road configuration is the “Six Points Interchange” in Toronto, which is being reconfigured – see information here:
