Jim Deva Plaza Progress

The ped-first public place takes shape at Davie & Bute.  The tribute to long-time LGBTQ advocate and activist Jim Deva is starting to look like the final shape and size.

  1. It’s looking nice. I was near there last week and was thinking that this is a first for Vancouver then realized I was wrong. This exact thing was done about 15 years ago to make Napier Park at Commercial and Napier. That worked out really well.

    The one year trial of this was a really good idea. People got to see what it would be and use it. Engineers got to observe how it was used and what worked and what didn’t.
