Comox Greenway: Letting down the walls

From Joey, a resident along the Comox Greenway:

Our garden was hidden behind a 10-foot tall hedge. Unfortunately it was old and not healthy. Both for aesthetic and security reasons it was replaced by shrubs and a fence was added.

The result? The community was able to gaze on the beauty of the garden. The residents of our building and passerbys were able to talk and exchange thoughts about the changes. For the first time we are in conversation, meeting neighbours that had no idea the garden existed, neighbours we never met before.

Amazing what happens when we let our walls down.
