Any bets on the relative throughput of the cycle/sidewalk vs the car lanes? I’m guessing they carry way more people, particularly at that kind of utilization!
To all the bike lane cyclist haters out there – think of all those butts on bikes as a’holes in seats. Do you love me now.
What did it take to pry those steering wheels from the hands of all those solo commuters – the Scummuters – it took a congestion charge.
What many of these sneaky scummuters do, however, is park free as close to the city as they can and take transit the rest of the way. Talking to you UBC pricks.
As the book: The High Cost of Free Parking points out – there is no such thing as free parking. We live near a Skytrain station in a residential only. Scummuters park, toddle off, and leave their vehicles all day. Residents eventually call enforcement and tickets are issued, but Scummuters are like ants – impossible to eradicate.
Still waiting for “Bob” to divulge the route of his commute that he says he quite enjoys.
