For more than 10 years, Metro Vancouver video-documented the construction of one of the largest water infrastructure projects in the world from breaking ground to final commissioning.
This visual journey documents the underground trains, massive pipes, and detailed work of engineers who oversee the installation of enormous valves, pumps and chambers that will deliver Metro Vancouver’s world-class water to residents – 30:00 min (The documentary Director and Metro Vancouver Water Services staff will be on hand to answer questions following the screening.)

As the Twin Tunnels project neared completion an unusual collaboration was formed to take advantage of the remarkable acoustics in the soon-to-be commissioned underground reservoir. One of Canada’s finest composers, Jordan Nobles, wrote and arranged an original work for eight musicians to perform in the Capilano Breakhead Tank days prior to it filling with more than 3 million litres of water for the commissioning of the Seymour Capilano Twin Tunnels system – 20:00 min
