Very parochially, the new Telus Gardens on Georgia Street has added the most pleasure to my occasional walks downtown. The water feature, the stunning arched spine and wood ribs – spanning the entire block face – the glass roof, Gregory Henriquez’s piano and especially the generous public lobby all are great contributions to city life. (Not a fan of the projecting bits, but their lightworks are visually delightful.)
