The Perspective from English Bay

Areas around English Bay define Vancouver ( for me anyway ): UBC, Pacific Spirit Park, Kits, West-End, Stanley Park, W-Van, Lighthouse Park and its ocean bay extensions into False Crrek with Granville Iskand and Olympic Vilage & Yaletown, plus Burrard Inlet with N Van, Deep Cove and Port Moody
Very walkable, utterly beautiful along the water & why millions of folks visit here annually or move here.
Once you’re a block away from the water and its beauty there is far too much blandness & boring average city stuff found elsewhere : drugs , car choked clogged roads , slow buses, average buildings, narrow sidewalks, congestion , noise ..

We are so blessed to live in a peaceful country where ample educational, artistic, engineering, environmental and economic opportunity still exists for those that boldly dare i.e. those not deterred but actually encouraged by low oil & resource prices, low Can$, ever more regulations, ever increasing deficits and ever higher taxes governed by our ever more incompetent politicians !
