Folks were also stumped as how to find decent housing in Vancouver in the 1890’s.
The inscribed text on this photo says:  “A three room stump house. Cor 26th Ave and Sercombe Road, Vancouver, BC.  W J Moore photo.”  Thanks to the Vancouver Archives.
Sercombe Road is now Prince Edward St.
