October in New York: New Views

Well, old views with new additions – taken from the Sheep Meadow.
Here’s that supertall on 57th at Park (more here) set into an oft-taken perspective of the southeast corner of Central Park:

Here’s a closer-in, more traditional view from the 1920s:

AppleMost of the 1920s towers are still there, except for the one third from the left, replaced by the original General Motors building (now known for the Apple Store box that replaced an unsuccessful sunken plaza, right).

And here’s a view I had never seen before: Essex House, almost looking like a reflection in the new supertall at One57 (another angle of that one from here).

It’s kind of New York’s version of the Marine Building set against the MNP Tower (seen here).
