I’m not sure I see “immigration” having any direct bearing on Vancouver’s housing-affordability catastrophe anyway. I may be wrong, but the difficulties I’ve been canvassing are not about immigration per se, but rather about capital, inequality, tensions in social cohesion, and all else that you would expect from a city where the local people who own have a vested, immediate interest in the persistence of disadvantages faced by the local people who do not own.
